SOPHIA, N.C. — Andy Seuss is still searching for his first NASCAR Whelen Southern Modified Tour title. To find it, he needs to stay out front and he’s off to a good start at Caraway Speedway.
Seuss led the way during afternoon practice for the Prestoria Farms 150 with a fast time of 15.959 seconds (102.638 mph). George Brunnhoelzl III, who entered the day just nine points behind Seuss in the championship standings, was second at 15.983 seconds (102.484).
Danny Bohn was third (16.127/101.569) with Kyle Ebersole (16.149/101.430) and Jason Myers (16.186/101.199) the rest of the top five.
Joe Ryan Osborne and Spencer Davis followed in sixth and seventh, respectively, and they are separated by just two points in the battle for the Sunoco Rookie of the Year crown.
Luke Fleming, J.R. Bertuccio and Brian Loftin completed the top 10.
Qualifying for the Prestoria Farms 150 will be at 5:54 p.m. with the green flag scheduled to fly for the race at 8 p.m.
