August 19, 2013 – Durham, ME – Evan Beaulieu scored his best ever finish in a Late Model on Saturday night at Beech Ridge Speedway when he led several laps and crossed the line second. Beaulieu, 19, is a rookie in the division this year driving the Hancock Lumber No. 56 out of the Dan McKeage stable.
After the race, the smile on the driver’s face said it all.
“What an awesome night this was,” Evan said proudly. “We got the lead early and then Tyler (King) got us. I guess he had ignition problems that put him out so we got the lead back and I thought we were in good shape but then a caution came out and Bobby Timmons got by us on the restart. I’m very proud of my team and glad I could get this second place for them because this season has been frustrating at times and this division is so competitive! I really want to thank everyone on my team and all of my marketing partners, including Steve Perry of Northeast Motorsports Expo who came on board for our last few races.”
Last Thursday, Evan had his Late Model on display at Hancock Lumber Day, where a good time was had by all. He’ll be in his Legends car this Thursday for the final round of Beech Ridge’s Thursday Thunder Series before climbing back into the Late Model on Saturday, again at Bech Ridge Speedway.
