Abington, Mass. – Two-time defending Massachussetts State INEX Legends Champion Nick Lascuola is preparing to take on the challenge of tonight’s INEX Legends National Qualifier at Seekonk Speedway in Seekonk, Massachussetts tonight.
Lascuola, 16, is now competing in the Pro division and is seeking his first win of the 2013 season. Tonight’s race is also the first race of the track’s 2013 Triple Crown Series.
“If there was a race I would pick to be our first win of the year this would be it,” Nick said. “We know we’re going to have our hands full with Nick (Ladyga) and others but we’ll do our best as always and race hard to the finish! I’d really like to win this qualifier.
One of the most popular drivers at Seekonk, Nick enjoys the on-track competition but also the chance to spend time with the fans when the opportunity arises.
“I like it when the families come over to the pits after the races and we have the chance to sign autographs and take pictures with them,” the racer smiled. “I am a fan when I’m not driving and it’s always cool for me to meet my heroes. I try to make each person, especially the kids, feel special and let them know how much I appreciate their support every week. The fans are a big part of why racing is so much fun!”
