BROOKLYN, Mich. – staff report — Ryan Truex was involved in a single-car crash during NASCAR Sprint Cup practice at Michigan Int’l Speedway on Saturday, and will miss Sunday’s race as a result of his injuries.
Truex was transported to a local hospital where he underwent CT scans of his head, neck, chest and abdomen, which were all negative. He was diagnosed with a concussion.
Truex will follow the NASCAR guidelines to return to racing and plan to undergo the IMPACT concussion test.
JJ Yeley will pilot the No.83 Burger King/Dr. Pepper Toyota in the Pure Michigan 400 for BK Racing.
